Hi
On full lock I find the tyres are rubbing, is this a usual occurrence or should I be looking for a nasty? 205's fitted.

Re: Turning Circle /
Are you sure they're rubbing ? The Excel doesn't have Ackermann geometry, so the front tyres tend to skip/jump/scrub a bit during low speed manouevres. It's normal and apparently improves high-speed handling.Hawaiis0 wrote:Hi

Yup - it's an uncomfortable noise the first time you hear it.
Stop driving around car parks and hit the open road
This might be something that needs adding to the buyers guide.

Ah! Very revealing, I noticed the same thing on my all too brief test drive. Thought it was the bald as a coot tyres! You learn something new every day!

Angus is correct, but i would make sure you haven't got any rubbing which you should be able to see by rubbing marks on the inner arch, but it is possible to get rubbing if the ARB to lower arm bushes are shot as this will allow the wheels to move backwards and forwards under breaking etc..
worth a look. when i upgraded my brakes it destroyed the doughnut bushes
