A pillar & C pillar interior trims

Post by Skyedriver »

Hi
I'm considering returning to the Excel fold with a car that needs a bit of TLC but hopefully not as much as the last one, which although bodily & mechaically sound, needed a lot of fettling.
The latest one looks like it needs the material replacing on the interior of the A pillars and C pillars. I've read the thread about the A pillars some while back and know that to do it properly it's a screen out job, although I think those custom pillar covers look great.
Does the C pillars require the removal of the rear glass? Is there another way of doing the fronts, such as ripping the leather off and cutting a piece to fit or may be the current trend for fake carbon fibre wrap?
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Thanks

All the fabric covered trim panels are dealt with in the headlining guide : http://www.lotusexcel.net/phpbb/viewtop ... f=8&t=1666
