ice detection + rev limiter indicator?

For all those wiring gremlins we love, this is the place to discuss them.

ice detection + rev limiter indicator?

Post by fitz »

hi all,

first time i've driven the excel in close to freezing temps today, and have been intrigued by the two leds above the fog lights, it was my understanding one was the ice detection indicator, the other being the rev limiter indicator, but today i had both on for long periods, without going anywhere near the red line?

from my colour blindness the top one is green, this normally comes on for a second on startup then goes out, the bottom one is red, this is normally never on. the red one seemed to come on and off during periods of cold fog / mist etc so i assume this is the ice detection....so whats the top one?!

Both lights are the ice warning system.
One comes on on start up to show the system is working.
After that green, green + red, then red is a sequence of reducing temperature indication.
