Ok chaps, a quick summary of progress so far:-

Alan- Celebration Excel/Screen for projector/History and Info on the Excel (already supplied, I'll get a few copies encapsulated, cheers)

amarshall-Projector/Laptop for videos/presentations (anyone got any they can supply)

Chris-SE Excel/background info on the Excel and poster boards hopefully.

83Excel- Eclat Excel.

Re: presentations/videos etc.

I have the video I did at last year's Donington + a partial lap of the Monaco GP circuit from my car (and lots of historic F1 cars from the same weekend).

More videos, photos. technical info/, drawings etc. would be v.v. useful

I'll pull them together into a rolling presentation for the weekend.

Please pm me if you have anything suitable and I'll get back to you to make arrangements for e-mailing and/or up/downloading.

Gents,

I've been in touch with Alan at Club Lotus today and he confirmed the following:-

Donnington will be open at 8am on the friday and all cars/material must be in situ by 8pm, although they usually like to close up a bit earlier if possible.

Once the cars are in place, they must remain until the sunday at 4pm.

Hope this is Ok with everyone.

I'll probably arrive early afternoon on the friday but I'll confirm this nearer the date.

All,

I received an email from Alan at Club Lotus yesterday, We've a confirmed slot at Donnington this year

We'll get an idea of the area we've been allocated soon, so we're all set.

Ps Alan is an Excel owner and now a member of this Forum

Looks like we're all set for Donnington.

Lots of material supplied by all involved, and Angus is doing a cracking job with the stickers.

I'm still waiting for confirmation of the actual area we've been allocated but Alan from Club Lotus said we'll get 3 cars on and our material.

I'm off on holiday tomorrow for a week so wont be logging on. I'll post any info as soon as I return.

Ok everyone we're all set.

We have space within the centre display area at Donington, with enough room for our 3 cars and display material.

Reserved parking has been arranged for the convoy from the museum on saturday morning for those taking part.

I know I've said this before and everyone involved has agreed but just a quick reminder:-

Our cars must be in situ on the friday afternoon/evening and remain until 4pm sunday.
Still Ok with everyone?
Angus, will you be arriving on the friday or saturday with your projector etc?

I'll be there fairly early on the friday to stake our ground.

I have to work on Friday and can't finish before 16:00 so I'll be driving down to the Dakota on Friday night and then arriving with the kit on Saturday - it's all portable and takes about 5 mins to set up, but I will need access to a mains socket (preferably 2) to run it.

Video is completed - 45 minute DVD including stills, the video from last year, Ian Bennett's (e-bay seller) video of his car for prospective purchasers and my completely self-indulgent footage of the drive into Monaco and most of a lap during the Historic GP weekend last year.

I'm also contemplating bringing a TV tuner for one of the laptops since the Australian GP repeat will be on ITV on Sunday.

I also have a couple of strings of green & yellow bunting - if I can find them, I'll bung them in the boot too.
