Just read this and was really shocked. Had no idea he was ill. Really hard to believe. Shaun - if you are in contact with Di please send condolences from me and Lynne. He was always such a big character at Lotus in the Peak and guaranteed good conversation and a few laughs. I remember when we were on a LITP run. We were a few cars behind him when he suddenly pulled over. I thought he had broken down but he had just decided he need a pee behind a tree as all the Lotus's went past.

Di & Jerry on the right 2017

Yes me and Carol were behind him Phil. It really was hilarious. He was larger than life and such fun to be with. Like I said to Pete, at least we've got some great memories of him. I will message Di with people's condolences and some of the lovely memories people have shared on here.

Such sad news.
Only met him and Di once at LITP 21, but he (and Di) left a lasting impression.
We were sitting at breakfast on the Saturday morning and chatting about keeping busy in retirement. Jerry laid it on thick about how he never struggles to fill his days, doesn't know how he found time to work, not enough hours in the day to do everything he wanted, etc. Clearly a well seasoned retiree I was thinking - Then Di chimed in with " Jerry, you only retired a week last Friday". Perfect double act.
Please forward condolences Shaun from me and Clare.

Will be missed. Just looked up stats on the forum, over 2700 posts from Jerry which just shows how generous he was when helping others.

For those who have a set of the Top Trump cards from the other year, may notice that Jerry had the highest recorded mileage in the pack.
Amazingly he beat the second top car by '+1'.
I wonder how that happened

You should be able to blacklist his email address, this will 'bounce' any emails sent from his email address:
- Login to your email server account (using your email address and password) using 'webmail' via your browser (MS Edge, Firefox, Chrome etc). If you're not sure how to do this, do an internet search for "webmail login abcd.com" where abcd is the name of your email address after the '@' symbol, such as gmail/btinternet/sky/etc, etc
- look for 'email options' or something similar
- There should be an option such as 'whitelist' and/or 'blacklist', click on this
- enter jerry's email address as a blacklisted email address
That should stop your email server accepting emails sent from Jerry's email account.
Hope that helps

Just purchased it.
Yes it's a nice piece, and unedited from the words Angus and I submitted so credit the editor for devoting a whole page of the magazine to it. I had recently unsubscrbed from Absolute Lotus magazine as I found the features a bit repetitive but luckily my local WHSmith stock it

Do you know the source of the photo used in AL Shaun?
Just thinking would be a decent pic for the 2025 calendar thread.

Nice idea. It was taken by Angus Marshall when Jerry paid him visit.

I haven't been on the forum for a good few years, now a Mustang MachE driver.
Jerrys passing is very sad to read, a real gentleman.
