As Silverstone was sort of (ie not a big de-tour!) on the way back home I went to one last year coming back from collecting my Excel.
End of April '06 - was it such a short time ago seems like I've had the car for ever
The cost to get in was £0 plus a nice shiny ticket and very helpful people on the gates - even when I went in the wrong way!
Chris, I 'borrowed' my Son from school for that day - well collecting a car needs two drivers.
I and he consider it a day well spent for him, education wise. Lots of driving on very different roads.
But to see and hear an F1 car in the flesh is something they just can't teach
