Quarter Glass

Post by Silent78 »

Hi all,
Just thought i would check here 1st before i try lotusbits, I'm looking for quarter glass for both the passenger door frame and drivers door frame. I have new door frames to fit and it looks like I'm going to have to do it outside the same as every other job. If i can source some quarter glass i can have them bonded in to the frames and hopefully get each door done in a day without having to leave my car sitting outside with no door. Once i've fitted the new frames i can even pass my quarter glass on to another forum member when they go to do their new frames or send you my quarter glass back if there is someone who is keeping a set as spares.

TY

Word of advice: Don't bond the quarter lights in until you've fitted everything. You don't want to have to start cutting out the mastic if you find something doesn't fit well.
If the frames are fairly rotten a good tug pulling the legs apart  will release the quarter light.
I've got a pair, but they are the through the glass mirror type.
PM me if you're interested.

Thanks for replies guys,
Its a later one i have Jason, mirrors are mounted on the door. Thanks all the same though. I was hoping i could of just bonded another quarter glass in before fitting the frame. Really hoping for this to go as smooth as possible. Surely im due a bit of luck soon lol. Every other job has been a nightmare because everything on the car seems to be original and has fought me every step of the way.
