Has anyone removed the body without taking the engine out?
I have seen a factory video that shows a chassis complete with engine in, seperate from the new body. Does anyone know if this is how they were assembled? It seems the only thing that would clash is the lower cam housing

Yes, the chassis, engine and drive train were a complete rolling assembly before the body was installed at the factory. That would imply that removing the body without first removing the engine should be relatively easy, but I've not tried it.
Good luck,

Thanks Tim,
I'm thinking that the body was tilted on one side. Maybe they left the engine mounts off and rotated it slightly?

Re: Body off with the engine in
Managed to do it.
Took the driver's side engine mount off and tilted the engine so it rested on the cross member underneath. Placed a thin piece of MDF between the cam housing and the body and slowly raised each corner accordingly.
