Yep got AAS to build a new system putting the centre box back in, quieter in the cabin now and I reckon a few mor hourses as well.

Hi Jerry - new exhaust looks good! I'm thinking about having a centre box made for mine now it's a bit louder. How much difference do you think it's made on yours? Have you made any before/after noise measurements like they did at Croft?

Did you get to choose the level of noise you wanted? I've welded my back box up as a temporary measure but I'd like to get a new exhaust made up that sounds as nice as the one that's on there at the moment. Its original I think but I suspect a lot of the baffling has long since rotted away. It's loud but not too loud. I'm concerned about having one made and finding it too quiet so I keep putting it off.

The new brakes are in different league to the originals. The Mintex pads squeal like a pig though so I have bought some anti squeal pads and Mintex lube, s'posed to help apparently but I haven't fitted them yet.

Hi Pete. Definitely quieter but more than that there is less resonance and droning. Mark complained that it was now two quiet but I heard him drive it the other day and coming towards you the induction raw is awesome; so relatively happy to have abit quieter out the back and should aid getting in the track.

I just told them I wanted to drop enough to maker the cabin a better place and so I can get on the track. I am sure they can pretty much do what u want. I haven't had any squealing with my pads. Which ones did u go for? I uses 1144.

1144 I think. From looking at the web it seems to be a common problem with them unless anti squeal pads are used.

Thanks Jerry - pretty sure my car is now too loud for the track as well. I'll start with a central box like you've done, but if it needs more silencing I'm going to remove the spare wheel-well to make lots of space for an Esprit-type setup!
