Lotus wheels library

I would like to convert my excel chassis from 15" speedlines to the 14" one! (I know most prefer it the other way around!)
The PCD's hubs are not the same, can it be done, who has some spare 14" hubs that would fit?

Thanks.

If you are talking about either the 14" supra wheel or the very early iron cross speed lines on the excel.... The PCD is the same. The centre bore is also the same. The offset however does chang between early and late wheel designs.

This is confusing
Maybe we should start a sticky with wheels, PCD, offset... and corresponding hubs!

I would like to use gen1 excel 14" Speedline PCD (?) instead of my gen2 15" Speedline PCD 114.3.

Are all Eclat/excel 14" wheels the same?

Page 22 Ethel's rebuild begins, a few post from the bottom of the page is where my wheel info is.

From my investigation "all" excels 1983-1992 wheels have:
PCD - 1143.3
Centre Bore - 60
BUT offset ranges from 19mm to 8mm depending on style of wheel.

Hope this helps

p.s - couldn't comment on the éclat as it wasn't part of my research but from memory about a conversation LONG time ago with mike - seem to remember they are different from the excel.

Éclat or Elite - top
Early narrow body Excel 2nd down. Known as iron cross. Believe they are speedlines
Late narrow body Excel "supra wheel" 19mm offset
86 to 88 year Excel 2nd from bottom 8mm offset. - speedline
89 onwards OZ bottom Excel (don't know offset ) - OZ

Ah just spotted 6... There are 2 iron cross ones at the top. Must be a way of distinguishing the two...
This is the point where somebody else has to chip in IF there were any iron cross wheels on eclats or they were just different coloured wheels for the same application as I know Brians number one excel had iron cross wheels with a golden hue colour.

feel free to fill the (?)...

Would the front Esprit wheels fit an Elite/Eclat/Excel or are they also specific?

Elite/Eclat 2.2 - Speedline - 14" - Gen2 PCD (?) - Offset (?) - Bore (?)
PCD=4x100 and with this different to the Excel Iron Cross.

The picture shows the wrong badge. The Eclat has had the old type logo sans serif

Thanks keep it comin'...
What about those esprit wheels, 100 or 114.3?

Oh and is it really 100 or 98? I recall someone being unsure... if this is going to be a sticky it must be bullet proof!

we should add the part numbers as well:

Elite/Eclat 2.0 - GNK - Gen 1 - 14" - PCD 114.3 - Offset: (?) - Bore: (?) H075G0041H

Elite/Eclat 2.2 - Speedline - 14" - Gen2 PCD 100 - Offset (?) - Bore (?) C084G0056H

Excel Gen 1 - Speedline - 14" - PCD 114.3 - Offset (?) - 60mm B089G0062F after MY86 A089G0067F

Excel Gen 1 - Supra - 14" - PCD 114.3 - Offset 19mm - 60mm B089G8002F

Excel Gen 2 - Speedline - 15" - PCD 114.3 - Offset 8mm - 60mm A089G0064F

Excel Gen 3 - OZ - 15" - PCD 114.3 - Offset (?) - 60mm A089G0735F

For the Eclat were also steel wheels and the sprint rims available.

Eclat 520 only
Steel Wheel B028G0001Z

The partnumber for the multispoke sprint rims is missing :(

On the Eclat it is 100. Self measured. Proofed :)

And maybe we could include the hubs...

Is it possible to mix/match 100" hubs with 114.3 one?
Hubs from Eclat/Elite to Excel...
