I have some rims to renovate- theyre not for my Excel, but relevant nonetheless.
Was going to spray with cellulose but I dont see it being very hardwearing. I'm suspitious of acrylic paints as they have poor flow properties and tend to reject.
So I thought maybe 2-pack might be the way to go.
Anyone have any ideas?

Re: Tough paint
Depends how far you want to go.
Powdercoating may be a good option.
Mine are back this week. They were straightened, powdercoated and then painted over with 2-pack and lacquered.
There is a polyurethane lacquer you can use which should be fairly tough as a coat over the top
