Fan relay swap?

For all those wiring gremlins we love, this is the place to discuss them.

Fan relay swap?

Post by ttedj »

I was wondering if any of the other less essential relays could be swapped for the fan relay. Has been chattering for a while and has now stuck on. Got a 270 mile journey tomorrow and would like the fans working properly whilst I try and find a replacement.

Thanks

Better to be stuck on than off!

The interior fan/blower relay is the same spec. I think.

Thanks for the reply. I had a look at that one having searched the forum. It only has 4 terminals whilst the rad fan relay has five. The fan fail light relay looks the same but I couldn't work out if it did the same function.
As you say, far better stuck on than off!
