LHD Elite MK II

Hello,

I would be interested in finding a LHD Lotus, preferable an Elite (second generation, square back), but I would also be interested in a late Excel provided it is LHD. I am living in Cardiff, Wales, and I would love to see some Elite or Excel in nature, and eventually drive it, to get a better impression. I own an Lotus Elise SC and I am looking for a 4 seater as a second car.

I can second Jerry's recommendation, it was a previous recommendation of his that led to my purchase and i'm very happy. To say the guys at lotusbits went out of their way to make sure my ownership was first class is quite frankly an understatement

Yes, Lotusbits should be able to point you in the right direction as far as finding a car. I live not far from Pontypridd, you are welcome to have a look at my Excel if you like, unfortunately it's not for sale!

Hello again, and thank for the advice. Are you planning to exhibit your car even if its raining? The forecast is miserable, but the location is not far from CArdiff, so I will definitely come.

PS: there are a couple of Elite showing up at pistonhead, or autotrader or ebay.co.uk. I just wonder whether it is possible to convert the car from RHD to LHD, or if this is to difficult. I know that hundreds of Elise get converted, but maybe they will be converted back to RHD if the Euro collapses (first).
