Hi
So when I got my car the throttle jack was disconnected which I know makes no great difference to the running on the engine but I would like to get it operating again. So when I connect a 12v supply to the solonoid it operates ok but when connected normally there is no 12v supply when revving the engine and returning to idle.
Any ideas where I should be checking?
Thanks
Throttle Jack

Re: Throttle Jack
I belive it's to increase Idle speed when ac is running.
I don't know if you get a 12v to it just by pushing the ac button or whether you have to have a working system.

Non AC cars also have them.ianhateswork wrote: Sat Apr 11, 2026 12:59 I belive it's to increase Idle speed when ac is running.

With AC car - should energise when AC switched on
Non AC - energises with rising revs above 1600rpm and de-energises on falling revs at 1400rpm.
All explained in section EMB.6 of service notes.
