The Lotus Grand Tourers

I'm none too impressed wirh the Mann fuel filter replacement element. The one I received had a malformed seal! After struggling to fit it satisfactorily, I found a pool of petrol on the garage floor, and I believe I may have deposited half a gallon along the A6. ( I eventually re-fitted the old seal).

Does anyone know if AC Delco do a replacement fuel filter element?

Positioning of the seal and the bowl is critical - no room for error. Some people have found it is better to take the whole filter out of the car - it's not as bad as it looks - just two nuts under the wheel arch if I remember correctly and two pipe unions. It is a bit easier with two people.

It is MUCH easier with two people, unless you Dad was an orangutan with very long arms
But - I found attempting to correctly fit the gasket with the filter bowl still in the car was impossible.
