Not sure if 2 door makes it rare or the 180 BHP. Cant work it out from the description

I think it's the re-colonised (sic) leather that does it. That's got to be worth a few grand at least.

Maybe it's the re-colonised leather. Is that some form of irrigation therapy or did it declare UDI?

Love the red interior ..I've been a bit more positive about red interiors on a Lotus since the very pleasant Alan (Moss) pointed out it's a Lotus tradition going way back to the earlier F1 cars.

Nice that somebody thinks they must be under priced!

Going by the number of thumbs up I've been getting recently, I think that if you asked a young kid how much our Excels are worth they'd think £11k was cheap compared to their Dad's new boring white Audi A4/5/6/7!

Very true. My last filling station valuation ("Nice car mate, wish I could afford one." "Make me an offer." " Got to be 30K" "It's yours - and I'll buy 4 more with the cash thanks.") was pretty good.

And that's just on the basis of looks!

I travelled around a twisty bit yesterday at a "plus" speed the would spook a modern driver and you should have seen the faces of the oncoming ... it felt very safe and controlled yet thrilling at legal speeds ..sometimes I wish I could see it from their perspective -but wouldn't want to give up the feel from the inside anytime soon!

I didnt know that full red leather interiors existed for excels as Ive always fancyed one in mine, it does look good. If he gets close to the asking price its good for us all because the general trend in prices will continue up..... not that I would sell mine.
