Different Logo on OZs

Hi all

My Excel came complete with the usual OZ "Esprit Style" wheels, but had two different types of logo. I now have two new wheels so it is the same all round, but I am confused.

Anyone able to identify this wheel design? I assume it must be for an Excel, but I can't work out what the significance of the different logo is.

From what I have read, that Lotus font on that style of OZ wheel were fitted to the earlier built 89MY cars (which were probably built in 1988). Some cars also had that font for the rear "lotus" badge too. I don't know how long they fitted them for before going over the other style of font. I know when looking for spare alloys for my car I've had to double check they were all the same logo.
