Re: Lola is back on the radar
I normally fail on this as well, pity the seller didn't wash the car before taking the pics.
I still like that red more than the original Calypso.

Re: Lola is back on the radar
Not privy to the history of "Lola", is this car worth a look?
the photos are poor quality and minimal and I don't even know where the auction house is.
Cheers

Re: Lola is back on the radar
Worth a search on here as it's now fairly well known.
1st owner had it c 20 years, next was one of his staff who ran it c 2 years without changing timing belt. I purchased (from a dealer in Hertfordshire) and replaced valves etc, had it painted (painter used incorrect red, so top half became full respray but bottom half hand't been fully prepped). Traded it against an Esprit, the purchaser used it for a daily commute from Essex (Mersea Island) to Norwich, and did so for over a year, no problems.
Car had a couple of engine rebuilds since then (head failures) so now is really sorted, and I think had an interior re-trim.

Re: Lola is back on the radar
Sold to Derek Glasgow, then I bought it. Did a fair amount of work to it and was used on 550 mile commutes from Aberdeen to Suffolk.
Went to Brian for a while.... I bought it back.
I put on a full custom stainless exhaust 18 months ago.
Was my daily driver for again before being sold on to Yeomans motorbikes last year.
6 owners.
Over 100,000 miles.
Biscuit leather retrim
ALL ELECTRICS work.
Window frames and door beams were in good order, no rust or door drop.
Supra alloys were reconditioned.
Rear trye well was solid with no cracks.
Massive anount of history.
