Passenger door lock

Post by johnblitz »

Hi,

my passenger door lock has died on me.
Anyone have any idea as to where these were sourced? or even have a spare one lying around?

Cheers

These locks are from the rear doors of a Triumph Dolomite or similar.

Do you mean the lock itself? When I bought my car, The passenger door lock didn't work too. Also, the boot worked off a different key. Because the central locking was defunked, it was a real pain.

I took the barrels out, and dismantled them. Then I rebuilt them, using the newest key as a master, and a tiny file to file the little levers one by one , until each of the locks worked off the same key.

A bit time consuming, but worth the hastle. And it didn't cost a bean!

The central locking is still defunked though!!!!
