Hi Chaps,
Just bought an 87 Excel SE and this is my first post.
Have sorted out quite a few problems already but not sure what to do about the heater fan - only the two fast speeds work - the two slower speeds which I would normally want to use the majority of the time are out of action.
Has anyone had a similar problem? any suggestions for sorting this out?

Sounds like a failed resistor pack. Not the easiest thing to get to, unfortunately.

It would be worth getting a multimeter to check voltages and resistances at the connector before you resort to the Lotus limbo.
