Are they heavy with all that trick electric stuff on board?

Or have the Japs cleverly miniaturised the workings?

Trust you Peter...............................yes the drivers side one is heavier, but the passenger is not electric so relatively light....but to be honest i just wanted a set of seats that were comfy and held me sweetly in the corners, and the buckets i had were on there way out, they weren't very pricey after all.

Yes Ozzy they are RX8 seats, and to be honest a very good fit. I'll just have to go for a 3 point harness, but i'm sure you can get four points that would work.....................although i am getting to that age that i want to make life easier to get in/out of the car and harness's don't do that.............

Those seats suit the Excel Jerry. How do passengers gain access to the rear seats - do the RX8 seats tip forward?

What about writing a "how to" for the Technical Articles section? I'd be interested in how you mounted them and the new electrical wiring.

Kev

I didn't mount them this time it was Mark, but i will deffo ask and see if i can get it down on paper..............passengers will only gain access to the rear from the passenger side, so as the predominant driver i am very happy with that...but the drivers seat will tilt forward if required but that is our secret........ the Passenger seat has a manual leaver as it has no electrics, but the drivers is fully electric and has an electric catch for tilt. It is also heated, but haven't wired that up and don't really intend to.............
