Hi Jimmy and welcome! New handbooks are available from Steve at SJ Sportscars, circa £20+, but I guess you might find one on ebay!
With regards to your previous post as to Eclat/Excel manufacturing info just what are you wanting to know? The search facility on the forum may well come up with answers for you! Otherwise the switchboard at Hethel should give you the the phone number for the archivist. Sory that info escapes me just now. If I find the details I'll let you know!
John

Hi,
Well, I've bought an Excel which has zero paperwork. It is red with gunmetal bumpers, 1983. It has full black leather interior, including rear headrests and aircon. It was registered in July '83. I'm told this is an unusual spec. The bonnet looks wrong to me as it has four air intakes- a later replacement?
I'd like to restore it as near to original as possible, with the exception of an appropriate aftermarket steering wheel. I'll phone SJ sportscars, thanks, Jimmy

Hi, I'll try and get some photos when it next leaves the garage- and it's not raining!
It looks identical to the Excel prototype on the outside. It will need a respray and new decals which will be fun to do (seriously I like doing paintwork). The interior is shabby but all there, I'm going to get the leather front seats professionally mended- I DO like my cars to be original. All in all it should be a rewarding project, just need to get a new clutch first and then I can plough on with the fiddly bits!
It's odd how so few people have even heard of the Excel, despite them being a good seller and a (hopefully) reliable car.
Jimmy
