Carburettor vacuum pipes

I've just done an oil change and discovered one of the narrow vacuum pipes had broken where it was hidden beneath the air filter. Can anyone recommend a good place to buy replacement tubing ?

I'd love to know exactly what these tubes do as I would imagine the tube has been broken for a while with no apparent effect on the running of the engine.

They are not anything special, not particularly strong but ideally resistant to fuel as they will get some vapour (does't really matter in the grand scheme of things as they don't carry fuel) and ideally heat resistant to 100+ deg C as they'll be in the bay.


They should alter the settings of the carbs and dissy as the engine warms up.

U/S pipe replaced and the engine is running much better. It just goes to show how things can gradulally deteriorate without you noticing. I'll be replacing them all when I've bought some plastic "T" connectors.
