Am I right in assuming that the round wood gear knob is no longer available to purchase new? I dont want a secondhand one as mine isnt too bad but I plan on replacing the dash wood panels and I suspect the gear knob will look tired when I do.
Alternatively does anyone know where I can get a tasteful replacement aluminium one, same shape preferably as I like the feel of the wood one.

Re: replacement gear knob
having an ali one in the Esprit I'd advise against them, in the winter it is very cold to the touch and takes ages to get to the temperature of the car interior, in the summer they can become painful to touch.

Re: replacement gear knob
I have found a knob for me that fits the trim and does charme the hand when you are loading the gears
