Stiff Climate Control Sliders? Vent sliders. '87 Excel.

since getting the Excel back on the road, the temp control/vent sliders have become more stiff. i have taken the top panel off and lubed up the sliders but guess its the connections at the other end of the little flimsy cables thats the problem? cant see in the Lotus workshop manual where to look next to get at 'em! anyone help please? many thanks. regards. On the later models the valve is in the engine bay behind the carbs on the firewall. Not sure if it is there for your model, but that is probably stiff. I think the flow divider is hidden in the dash somewhere. Best of luck with that..... You may see something by removing the panel in the glove box?
