Oil pump housing gasket

I have a new gasket for the oil pump housing and it looks like a very thin plastic foil.
I will check the bleed hole in the oil pump.
Is the new gasket sufficient to avoid leaks?
Do I have to apply any other heat resistant liquid seal or activator on the new gasket?

It's sufficient unless the mating surfaces have been damaged in some way. If you were to put a thicker gasket in there 9or a sealer which is not zero thickness" type) you'd end up putting spaces in for oil to move around in ways you don't really want so could reduce the effectiveness of the pump.

Thanks,

I saw in the service notes that it was dry-fit but wasn't sure.
