i just bought a generic replacement,ok different looking knob but does the job........

I have to agree with Bash..Never use mine, when i was looking for somewhere to put my start button that was the very first place to look at on my list, but opted to remove the fag lighter.........(put a double one in the glove compartment)

Thank you both for your replies: I agree with you Bash, never needed to start the beast, but I've found it useful to keep her ticking over sweetly from cold. In any case, the choke knob hanging on a bit of wire is not a pretty sight!
Best wishes
Derek
