A fellow '89 SE owner, whose immaculate Calypso Red was parked next to my black one on the drive last week, pointed out three bits I'm missing from my throttle cable: both clips that should secure the nylon section either side of the grommet mounted above the cam cover are absent, as is the little spring support clip which should be supporting the throttle cable over the outer section of the airbox. The rivet is still in the airbox - intact!
If anyone has replacements they can afford to part with, please PM with prices!
Merry Christmas ro All!

Re: Throttle Cable clips
I've found that plastic brake pipe clips can be used to hold the throttle cable in place - not tall enough for the airbox, but about right on the cambelt cover.

The airbox clip comes up on ebay, but for the esprit and is about a tenner. I got one a while ago but they still keep coming up but none on at the moment
