Hi can anyone give me a contact for a head liner fitter in the midlands thanx

its perfectly possable to do yourself with a bit of time and care and a sewing machine, or you could take it back to the factory like ( I think) angus did.

Yup - can't recommend the factory trim shop highly enough. Full headlining inc. putting leather on the sunvisors in place of vinyl - 1/3 the best price I was quoted locally - and an excuse to take the beastie home for a couple of days so the guy who did the original work could work his magic again.

It was around £500 and took them two days to complete.

Thanx where abouts is the factory to get the lining done?

As an aside, it's a very do-able DIY job, you just buy the fabric and glue, and use the old bits as a template. There's a bit of sewing involved but pretty straightforward. Very satisfying.

Dave's (DPR59) pictures have gone but mine are still there. I used the 'how to' in the Tech articles on this forum to get started but changed a couple of things as I went along. Its not too hard to do.

Thanx just had a quote from a local classic car re trimmer, says he can do it for 200 quid, so might give him a try as he comes highly recommended,Phil

For those going down the diy route get woolies to send you a couple of samples as they do 2 or 3 similar materials. Plus you must used their adhesive not just any old tin of evostick as it will fail even quicker.
