Repairing RRIM

My back bumper has a split down the bottom corner.
I understand it's made out of RRIM and seems pretty flexible.
Does anyone have any experience of successfully repairing this stuff?
Can it just be treated like fibreglass or is some other technique required?
Thanks
Bill

Some information about plastics repsirs :

Personally, I'd be wary of using a GRP patch kit on a flexible section like the bumper - differences in flexibility may cause further damage or simply cause the patch to fall off or fracture.

Thanks Alan
I have obtained a decent used one from JonK in the meantime though.

Answered my own quesito now.
I used a cartridge of "Rigid Plastic Repair 5 minute" from Bondtech
http://www.bondtech.uk.com/cgi-bin/stor ... &pid=2.htm to sort out a couple of minor cracks in my replacement bumper. It seems to be identical to the material the bumper is made from and blends in well.
Bondtech talk about a cleaner and adhesion promoter but don'e supply any. I used bumper cleaner from Halfords - seems to work just fine. For smoothing tape I used some plastic masking tape and some aluminium mesh for reinforcement.
It looks suspiciously like what Lotus use to bond parts of the Elise together.
