Grounding points...
can anyone tell me where the main grounding points are on the car?
need to work out why my battery is draining in 12 hrs from a full charge.
(before you ask its not the battery its the car, does it with multiple batteries)
ideally pics would really help

The front grounding point is on the RHS of the block, below the air filter. A dirty connection there gave me the "clicking starter" issue but not battery drain.
It's not something like the boot light or interior light sticking on is it?
You could stick an ammeter in line at the battery and pull the fuses one at a time to identify which circuit is draining the current. Most multimeters have a 10A range, just don't turn lights on or attempt to start it or it'll be a molten blob

In my Excel, the rounded open/close door switch controller didn“t run Ok, then sometimes the internal red light of the door remained lighting while the door was closed, draining the battery. Check this point.
(I promissed to improve my english)

everything (all the likely suspects) will be grounded at the right hand side of the peddlebox, conviently hidden behind the fusebox and relay rack on your car oz...
id use a multymeter and start pulling some fuses... i normally hazzard a guess on it being an alarm or imobiliser on the way out if theres nothing imidiatly obious such as sticking lights etc as has already been suggested...
good luck...

at least before it would turn the starter even if it wouldnt have enough voltage to start...
also had all the fuses out and couldnt find the culpret...
is there a fuse for the engine bay stuff?? (foot well on drivers side doesnt seem to have anything other than secondary systems...)

Hi Oz,
As you are having no joy with this yet, there is one major place to look that spends its days getting caked in crap.
This is where the negative lead from the battery grounds to the chassis in the rear drivers side wheel arch.
The hole where the bolt goes is ringed in red. Ignore the arrows, they are from when I was showing the cracks in the body
Here is the actual negative lead shown in place with the body off:
Again, ignore the other stuff in the pic, the ringed items are the black fuel line from an earlier thread. The black cable that is not ringed is what you are looking for - it goes through a gromet in the body into the boot to where the battery lives, and straight onto the negative terminal.
Any use to you?
Chris
