Droopy sun visors

Half way through an interior refit - the easy half as I've taken all the old stuff out - and I'm now sorting the niggles.

The sun visors have never stayed up and when I look at the fittings, the nyloc nuts are not screwed up tight enough to cause any friction to stop the visors from drooping.

Is all I have to do is tighten up the nylocs ? Seems too easy ...

When I replaced my headlining it involved removing the sun visors. When putting them back, I just tightened the nyloc nuts until they felt about right. I have had no problem 2 months later. Might be better to fit new nyloc nuts?

Cheers,

Phil

Just tightening up the nyloks should do it.

Worked it out last night ... I thought the friction came from the nylocs causing a tight fit, but I see the idea is that the nyloc locks the spindles and the friction is between the spindles and the visor, all sorted now. Thanks,

John
