Dave, how far did you strip the car down for the re-spray? Just interested as the lacquer continues to slowly lift on the roof and the red continues to fade.......

Yer well.......
I dropped car in at body shop, went on holiday fro a week, then picked her up when I got back.
However going by the comments of the owner.
I'm never gonna do one of them again, not for £600.
The bonnet had some crazing that he sorted.
The gent also stood by the quotation he gave, top man.
£600 ?

I can't believe he was brave enough to quote that low for a respray.
I stripped mine down, flatted it, delivered it, collected it, hand finished it and put it all together, so that just left him to panel wipe, mask, primer and spray it with 2 pk.
That cost me £400 including materials.

With the guys at Lotusbits stripping the car taking out the windsreen and dismantling all the bumpers, spats, window moldings and a new fiberglass bumper from SJ's
all the car was resprayed all the bits sprayed separately - £1,500 inc VAT - excluding Lotusbits costs and cost of bumper and windscreen
And a full new waist trim was fitted
