Advice on interior refurb

Post by johnf »

Hi,

I'm going to replace the interior of my car this winter, 89SE, cloth for a 2nd hand leather set. As this means taking the dash to bits is there anything in the dash that should be changed while it's out.

Also looking for carpet recommendation, I'd like a set in black or deep blue with the Lotus press fittings if available, failing that, any recommendations for a carpet supplier.

Any suggestion of a supplier for the countersunk rivets holding on the outer B pillar covers.

Anything to watch out for in the job ?

Thanks,

John

John, SJS sell new carpets for the Excel. http://www.sjsportscars.co.uk/

Woolies are a very good source of most car trim, clips and materials. http://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/

If you wanted to get all the work done professionally then TrimWorkshops in Glasgow or TransCal in Livingstone are very good, but expensive.

Had a look at SJ for carpets, they come in around £280. Had a look via google and found a set on Amazon for £160

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/tg/ ... VQRAFG/new

Has anyone any experience of the Amazon shop ?
