This is the wiring diagram from the '89 manual. I don't think there were as many relays in earlier models.

If you have an avo check there's power to the motors, are the fuses OK that kind of thing.

When I first got mine one of the pods was a bit lazy. Almost a mexican wave when I put the lights on. Once cleared I make sure I run the pods up each time I pull into the garage. Regular use seems to have cured mine.

Hope it's as simple for you

On my 1983 Excel the pods have always lifted at slightly different rates. This means that with careful timing it's possible to give a one-eyed wink to the car in front if it has kids in the back looking. They love it!

I had a similar problem with my 85 excel. I took the motor apart and found that one of the large magnets that are glued to th outside casing had become unstuck. I stuck it back on with evo stick impact adheasive,i lightly warmed the componets in the oven after applying the glue. I also sprayed the windihgs e.t.c. with wd40 and they have seemed to work since.

Mine was simply a dodgy connecter, disconnected it, cleaned off the gunk, reconnected all fixed.
