A window motor failed over the weekend.
A couple souced on eBay, ex Jag for about £10 a piece.
The last time I got one new from UK Bosch supplier, at about £60.

How did it fail ? Sure it isn't just a magnet come unstuck from the side of the casing ?

Power applied to unit. Nothing.
It's dead, it's shuffled off it's mortal coil, it is no more.
And for £10 I really could be pestered to take things to bits.
Might have a look at some point though.

Tcha! Typical modern chemist - "it's broke. throw it away and get a new one" - no curiosity!

Got a pair of motors, as they were available.
Donor cars;
1. Jaguar xj6 xj40
2. Range Rover Window Motor 1992
Slightly different Bosch part numbers, but a drict fit and both work well.
