Material needed for Donington

Post by amarshall »

Just a reminder - I'm still in need of material for the rolling video/slideshow for the Donington stand. If you can send me photos, videos etc. I'll make sure they're properly credited.

Anything is suitable - rebuild photos, motorsport, touring. The more the better. I'd really like to get well in excess of an hour-long "show" running. If you already have something suitable on a WWW site, please PM me the address and I'll grab it from there.

Any information about coming events etc. is also welcome.

Spav. - any chance I could acquire some of the date-specific logos to include too ?

Angus, I have unearthed some old brochures. I will try to get some of the pictures scanned.
Some images on Google etc. may be of use.

OK - so far I have :

my video from last year
Spav's copy of site logos (+ a few extra bits)
Alan M's scans of sales material
My video of trip to Monaco Historic GP (2006) + assorted photos my car upstaging Lambos.
Photos from web site : DPR59, Skeggy, texas2201 (will review and request better copies if necessary)

Promised video from SteveC + a chap who is selling a J plate Ruby Red SE on e-bay at the moment.

So thanks to all of them, but more still wanted...

I've booked a projector from work and will bring a few laptops with me + my copy of "Lotus Challenge"

Hi Angus

Don't have any video of Excel in action but do have quite a few good shots of it on the Ring last year - in full flight

Angus,

I'm dropping a DVD (full DV resolution) in the post today - it still needs editing but most of the bits of my kids pulling faces at the camera have gone! Not sure how useful it will be ....

Lower resolution versions available on my web-space if anyone wants to see the old girl on the track at Castle Combe!

or smaller

... they're big so you'll need broadband!

No comments about the bad lines .. they were my first laps!

Well, two things...

1) That is the first time I have ever seen an Excel move (when I am not pushing one).

2) That seemed mighty quick to me!

You were really moving! Looks like great fun!

Who was driving the other green Excel? You both have very civilised exhausts compared to the Elise lot!

It's pretty good fun out there on the track! I came in and the brakes were smoking gently after that dry session - a lovely smell of hot engine and brakes MMMmmm ... this is with the 285mm PNM kit and red-stuff pads too - no fade though!

I can't remember the chaps name in the green car .. I did have a chat with him but he wasn't on the forum at the time.

Those pesky exiges are hard to keep up with .. 180bhp+ and don't weight much more than half the Excel ... shod with R888's too! It evened up a bit more when it tipped with rain inthe afternoon!

Castle Combe officials were pleased that the Excels were quiet .. a lot of cars had trouble! I still thought the old girl sounded pretty good for 135k miles though .. :-)
