Speedo cable needed

I think I have killed the speedo cable when fiddling with the broken speedo and the dashboard last week.
Does anyone know if this cable is from a donor car, or is this a Lotus only item?
Has anyone got a cable lying around in their garage?
TIA

£30.00ish from SJ, or if your on a budget you may be able to braize it if its the inner that has snapped.
I braized one on a Lotus 7 for years it snapped again approx every 3years, one day I thought I would just try a Ford dealer, £15.00 saved me a lot of future fiddling and effort.

Thanks Steve,
'Braizing' is sort of welding? No - not an option for me...

So - no one knows from which car this part is coming from?

When I got my car the ridge on the pin that goes into the gearbox was worn away. In fact that end of the cable was flapping in the breeze. So much for the "genuine" 99,000miles! Eventually I built it up with some careful welding and ground it down to the right shape, now works fine.
The cable I think is a special fitting, Toyota Supra at the gearbox end, and special VDO threaded fitting at the speedo end. You can't just use a Supra cable as they had a bayonet fitting at the speedo end. My suggestion is to get yours repaired by an instrument maker, using a Supra inner cable as a donor if necessary.

Hi Robert,
Thanks for the comments.
It's not a big problem to spend ~ 30 quid for a new and original cable - I was just curious if these things are Lotus only - Now I know
