Hi,
I have a circular valve built into the front section of my air intake which looks like it should be vacuum operated but has nothing connected to it at the moment. Should this be connected and if so where does the vacuum feed come from. Thanks
Air intake valve?

Sounds like the warm air intake on later cars. Not sure how it works though! Someone with a late car will be along soon

Hi Mike
There should be an air pipe from the middle connection from the sensor on the outer unclippable air box to a T-piece that then goes to the inlet flap and the circular gizmo on the fixed air box

There’s a link in this post with an excellent explanation and diagram of the vacuum system.
