Hi all,
When it rains I get a drip from above, it turns out the interior light gets water in and is leaking. Is this a case of re-sealing the aerial above it, or something more sinister?
Thanks,
Dan

Unless you have a sunroof (or someone's punched a hole in your roof!) then the aerial or the windscreen are the only possible culprits. Since the aerial is much easier to deal with, I'd definitely try re-sealing that first before you contemplate the windscreen seal. Gut feeling is that it is more likely to be the cause anyway.

Re: Leaks from interior light
I’ve had that on 2 of mine. Both times it was the aerial.
As a quick fix I tried a bead of silicone around the edge, but as aerial was a little loose it moved and broke the new seal.
The challenge was then undoing the screw that holds the aerial on. Had to drill one out (just a few weeks ago) and still not freed off what’s left of the screw. Roof has a grommet in it which has kept water out on a temporary basis.

Sometimes they must be un-done from the nut underneath (the screw is static). Made a new “bung" for the screw from Silicone.

Re: Leaks from interior light
The nut on mine was in a moulded depression to hold the nut while screw turned. Even with the nut removed from mine it was not possible to pull the screw through the mounting.HC180 wrote: Sat Jun 07, 2025 23:40 Sometimes they must be un-done from the nut underneath (the screw is static). Thanks all. Another job to add to the list! I'm doing the headlining in a few weeks so I'll be able to address it then.
