That looks a nice car! Very smart and one of the very late cars.

Cheers, Richard

Currently at £15k and reserve not met. Wonder if it will top the £16750 of the other recent auction for a Celebration.

Reserve met. A strong price.

Celebration spec has to be a big factor here because the mileage at 136K, and the significantly tired cosmetic state, would set the value of an ordinary post 89SE in that state a lot lower, surely?

The photos were really well taken, mind you. Our cars do look much better in low angle shots.

Red celebrations are even rarer, so 20K might be doable for a really nice one? I prefer the dk green met version, though.

I kept looking at the shots of the interior. The colour on my laptop screen made it look more golden than a normal Celebration, I considered whether it was just a camera/ screen thing but the yellow of the badge looked normal with just the dash etc seeming off. Then, the roof lining looked very yellow/golden but when looking at the roof lining material visible at the B pillar, that looks the colour I'd expect.
Hopefully it was just a trick of the light/camera/screen.

I agree re SE Vs Celebration price. There's a certain premium because each is just one of 35 in that specific colour combo. Re the red ones, well the jury is out as to whether they are Celebration models or just red SE cars with all the other options of a Celebration.

Why is it that when people are taking pictures or presenting cars for sale they would not sort out the little things like the exhaust on the left hanging off because it is missing rubbers. They even focused on it with the rubbers missing.

So it appears that this car is up for auction again on Car & Classic less than a month after it sold.

It's not clear if the original sale fell through or the new owner didn't get on with the car. I wonder which it was?

I suspect the sale fell through.
It's pretty much an identical advert, still stating current owner since 07, so a bit naughty if someone new.

The car is now up on C&C as a "buy it now" for £17,500.

It'll make a great purchase for somebody I'm sure. It's a bit more than I'm looking to pay though.
