SJ sells one - part number B082F4114F. Might be a starting point for you.

Thanks... I guess I was hoping for a Toyota or similar part number as its over £40.00 form SJsportscars, that does seem a lot for something that feels like it should be a bout a fiver

Have you done a search? I recall someone doing something with the gaiter.

I recall Bryan Barker001 replacing his gaiter - last year I think.

I’m sure there was a post about it.

I bought one for an MGB off eBay for £7.50, which looked like it would fit. Mind you, I still haven't got around to trying it, so can't confirm if it does!

Alan, I think the link you provided is to the lower gearbox cover.

I'm in full support of Pistol. I won't spend £40 (plus postage no doubt) for a bit of rubber that shouldn't more than a fiver. I can't see it being a Toyota part as it's completely separate to the gearbox.
Pete's Ebay link looks far more promising. I might need to get one of those for the next time the centre trim is removed.

Yes, it was me... It's not a Toyota part (unlike the small gaitor which fits around the lever on top of the gearbox), as far as I can see it was Lotus only. My original one was completely split in two. I tried the MGB part for £7.50 and found it much too springy, it kept trying to pull the lever out of gear, pulling it to the central neutral position. I had a used (but intact) one from Lotusbits in the end, I can't remember exactly how much but it wasn't £40. It did seem to be the only part that fitted and worked though, and I wanted to get my renovated interior back together. It does reduce the gearbox noise quite a bit inside the car, surprisingly.

So I found the one I assume everyone mentioned on eBay it’s an mg one looks like it could be cut down as it might be too big. I ordered it earlier today I will let you know. Cheers

SO the new gaiter has arrived and is now fitted.

Seem ok there might be a bit bit more meat in it as maybe the shift is tighter not sure really .

SO one thing , which is nice there is much less engine smell in the cabin . SO a real result at £7.50.

Nice find Pete, mine is a little the worse for wear so I'll try the MG one too

I fitted a MGB gaiter last week and am very pleased with the result. The the four screw holes punched into the rubber even matched up with the Lotus metal securing ring! I chopped the top inch off the MGB gaiter before fitting.

Maybe Pete's discovery should be listed in the forum's Alternative Parts thread?
