Guys
It seems that the window frames are now on eBay:

I think that eBay account is in effect this forum (as in Angus offering to people who aren't members).

My understanding is that Angus is no longer having any input to this forum, so I think eBay will now be the only channel to purchase them.

Well I hope whoever upset him feels upset too atm.
I was on the old (Captain Bob-style) forum when Angus first joined and his enthusiasm and willingness to help was apparent from the get go. Then, when this (new) forum began around 2006, Angus took a more active role and has formed the back-bone of the forum ever since.
I've got to say that once the forum "became a Club", I expected to see disputes arise - it tends to be the case once "money" is involved.
Some of us are also members of the more-established car clubs and will have witnessed these kind of power disputes before no doubt. The fact that it has got this far without a previous major dispute is a testament to Angus' management style...especially given some of the more abrasive characters that have come and gone.

I only joined the forum recently but I still think it's a damn shame that Angus has been put into a position where he felt he had to withdraw after all his hard work. I'm not sure what happened but it was probably partly due to someone taking him for granted once too often. We need to remember that those who run forums like these need our thanks and support. They are, after all, only doing it to help the community, not for their benefit.

It's probably the same ASSHOLES that PISSED me off and that was why I left no more posts.
Yes you know who you are.

I posted this on the Calendars thread yesterday and clearly I should post it here too:
Prior to the NEC show, Angus stated and subsequently confirmed his intention to stand down from the running of lotusexcel.net and his wish to relocate the stock of parts and merchandise (amongst other things) that he has held at his house over the years. A group of members came together at the show and agreed to take over the management of the club and its assets (on a voluntary basis) in order to protect the services the club offers to its members. We contacted Angus with a request for information regarding different aspects of the club and asked for dates when we could organise the transfer of stock from his home to the premises of another member who had kindly volunteered to take over the running of the spare parts and merchandise side of the club's activities. One of our questions was about the club shop, so I am concerned that it appears to have closed. We are awaiting a reply from Angus.
As and when there is further news, this will be posted on the forum.
Richard

I've had my Excel for 17 years now and whenever I've interacted with Angus I've always had the pleasure of dealing with a very professional, friendly guy who has put a huge amount of time and effort into this forum.
I thank him for all his work, and I'll miss him.

Ah, I thought it strange that I didn't get a reply to my post regarding over pipes.
Will keep an eye out for a further thread.
Shame someone with such a passion has to stand down. Didn't know him, but seems of high regard.
Best Wishes to him for the future.
Jim

I have to agree with my colleagues on this thread, don’t know why Angus has chosen to no longer be part of Excel net but for me he has been a stalwart in knowledge, experience comradeship and an excellent ambassador for us Lotus Excel Elite Eclat owners. Perhaps ones of a hope that the situation changes and Angus yet again becomes part of the “family”
