Hi has anyone got 2 Body Trim End Pieces ( the ones that have a 45 degree angle on ). Willing to pay for them + postage.

Or if someone can tell me where I can buy them.

Many Thanks.
Ian.

The SJSportscars website, under the part Body trim under I- Information carries a long description for renewing the body side trim. It appears there are no end trims, the strip is prelaid with overhang and once adhesive is cured the ends are trimmed.

I could be wrong, but I wonder how many paint jobs re-use the old trim with the result that it looks as if there should be endcaps.

Early cars have a cut angle on the trim strip, later versions have end caps.

I can't see anyone listing them new any more. This is one of those items where I'd call Lotusbits and see if they have any knocking around in the store room or on a car that hasn't been stripped yet.

If they aren't available, I'll see if I can figure out a way of getting some made up - assuming I can find a spare or two in my "big box of things I'll never need".

I did ask Lotusbits if they had any back in June but they didn't come back to me. I think it's because they only brake older cars that
are scrapped that don't have the end bits. I also tried SJ but they didn't have any either.

OK. I'll rummage around in the big box and see if I can find one or two that I can use to make a cast.

Sounds a bit like a job for somebody with a 3d printer perhaps?

I know a man with a 3 D printer. Willing to approach him if someone has the bit to hand.

Finally found my one, single, solitary, last, if I fit it I won't have any left, spare one.

Bring it to Hethal. Unless you know a man with 3D printer.

I know lots - but getting the point cloud for an object that small isn't particularly easy and made worse by the void for the screw. There may be another way...

If we can get these made, what's a reasonable price to pay for them? Either individually or in sets of 8 ?
