Not going to count my chickens but looks the part. Welds look good and measurements spot on, had to enlarge the mounting holes but prefer the bigger bolt mounting size.

Took her for a run after getting everything back on under tray etc fitted a grill to try and limit the stone/ road debris damage and she sat at 76c on my electronic gauge, drops very quickly when in traffic and fans kick in. So well chuffed and half the price of an British version

Does it have higher efficiency than the standard radiator?

Well it's only 2 core but seems to dissipate heat quicker than the old onev

just in case anyone other than me is a cheapskate I came across this site for std radiators that could be adapted to fit, most modern rads being more efficient these days. Its got dimensions and pictures.

I'm about to buy an all alloy rad to replace my 11 year old brass/copper one in the Clan so I've done a bit of background reading before forking out £300+ for a bespoke alloy rad.

I found this web site ...

corrosion in alloy rads

...a great source of common sense info on issues surrounding fitting an alloy rad in place of a copper/brass original.

Attention to detail on installation is vital if you don't want your alloy rad to dissolve quicker than Alka Seltzer!

That is exactly why I use an aluminium radiator with an aluminium block and head that uses a non corrosive heat dissipating fluid.

Galvanic corrosion in Renault 5 turbos that use an iron block, ally head, copper radiator and individuals who don't change the coolant every two years have the head and coolant pathways eaten out in less than 10 years.

Head gasket problems!!

Yes I think I'll use Evans waterless coolant...

Aluminium all the way round love it. Quite happy with the risk and to be honest I am sure there are other things I should be more worried about.

That's exactly the point Gerry.... By going for an aluminium radiator you have further reduced any galvanic corrosion.
The only thing left in the system that isn't aluminium is that stupid heater matrix and the brass y-piece on the bulkhead.... I am working on that

I certainly won't be spending £200+ on an aluminium header tank just to slow something down that probably needs to be counted in life times rather than years
