The coolant can be reused if it is caught as it doesn't age.
Minimum purchase quantity is 2litre.
You would pretty much have to lose the whole lot to fork out £100 again.
Only a few weeks before Ethel is running this.
I am bound to lose some when switching over to the Electric water pump.
Time will tell on this one.

When I bought my stuff I had to go to several places to find the overall best prices to build up what was needed.
There is now a seller on eBay selling the Evans power cool 180 as a complete kit.
The hygroscopic flush and 7 litres of power cool for £140

Have been using the Evans powercool 180 in Lola for over a week which included trips from Fife to Mildenhall, mildenhall to Cambridge and back, mildenhall to the NEC and back, then on to Eastbourne...... Anyway - I have racked up a number of miles under different conditions including full bore acceleration and stop start traffic.

Under normal conditions with air flowing through the radiator I can report that the coolant makes the system run roughly 5 - 7 degrees Celsius less .
In traffic when static the needle rises very slowly and appears to be very stable.

Cost from one ebay supplier for 5 litres of prep fluid and 5 litres has gone down to £100


I am very happy with its performance so far, will continue to update later....

Unfortunately I cant really comment on that... Lolas heating was rubbish from day one - I have the old style ducting which is asthmatic at best (I think the ducting has moved away from the heater matrix and the vents - or the original system was poor).
I think it has improved v. slightly but Ethels heaters were always good so hers will probably be a better test for the heater side.

What I can say is when I back flushed the cooling system and matrix with water I removed lots of silt but when I used the crystal clear prep fluid the amount of scale and silt that was pulled out was a surprising amount still! My header tank is now free of rust and silt.

Maybe someone else on here is using it as well and can add their experience on the heater side?

In terms of engine requirements though - I cannot complain.
