Good stuff Matt - looks like we'll have some competition for "best restoration" in a few years.
Did the other stuff arrive OK ?

That all depends on Jakes budget and enthusiasm, it's his budget that worries me.
The package has arrived ! I have not opened it, I will put it under the tree on christmas eve like santa does

His Excel is at my friends house, I'm putting the Excel in my garage on christmas eve when he's at carol service so it's a supprise on the day.
Below is a picture of jake when we worked on my Europa chassis. (I spent the next 30 mins pushing him up and down the road on the chassis while he made brum brum noises)

I'm really looking forward to helping Jake with his car
Thanks for all your kind comments about my restorations
Matt

Now that really is rubbing salt into a wound

, not only does he do a brilliant restoration job he's got a Europa, that is not fair. I always regret selling my Special, fourth from last one made, and the best car I've ever owned,

I keep asking Santa but he fails me every year

The Europa is one of my all time favourite Lotus as well as the S1 Esprit! You have my dream garage Matt!

Well if you fancy poping up to sunny Northants over the holidays in your Excel, I will let you have a go in them

the Europa has a evil powerband I call it my little spinning top, I spend alot of time facing the wrong way out of corners !
Anyone into Elan +2s? My 1st restoration was one, when I had a single garage.

Seems like a nice young lad. Hopefully this will keep him away from women!

That is so cool! First question... "Is it an SE?" Good to see young Jake knows his Excels!
This Xmas morning I did something similar, and 6am found me outside putting a huge orange ribbon on an Audi A3 for Helen
