The Lotus Grand Tourers

I replaced the large non-original wooden Momo gearknob in my Excel with a perforated leather MG ZT gearknob. I knew it would be good to use as I own an MG ZT.

I bought the knob brand new on e bay for £15 which made it cheaper than some of the aftermarket tat you can buy . It's a high quality item which I discovered was made by Momo for MG.

Lucky it's got reverse in the right place!

The original gear Knob on mine was loose and had been replaced twice by previous owners according to the history file. I got the same one as Hodders – Lotus Cortina but changed the badge to the black one to match the rest of the badges on the car. Got the badge by purchasing a key ring with a black badge and swapping them. The hole in the knob was too small and I had to drill a bigger one before it would screw onto the gear lever.

SO, here is my solution again with a further detail and the stick in 1. gear. So with pretty much space in direction to the dash. The logo is not exact the right colour scheme but only pros will notice it.

and it suits the cockpit in my view very well It charmes also the palm



Something like the Cortinastyle is also made in leather. I have this kind of knob in my M100.

But for the Excel I wanted something more solid.
