Both tastes are valid as far as I'm concerned...each to their own and I think RRHANS sumed it up perfectly. I suppose that blue with gold is bound to invite Scoobie references (one of the advantages of Calypso red over the Pacific(?) Blue is that small boys and their Dads think that my red one is a Ferrari  )

...it's just that I like old-school deep-dished alloys as opposed to the more modern flatter faced interpretation

I agree with everything that Tanz, RRHANS (i love his wheels) & Peter say and i was looking at deep dish wheels originally but when i saw the prices on offer from Mike Taylor in comparison to Image wheels at over 4x the amount the choice was made for me; Compomotive wheels are very good wheels and not to forget are very lite in comparrison to my warped originals (the performance issue) and blue + gold does work; BUT I find the coparrison of blue and gold on a Lotus "looking like a Scooby" is churlish to say the least, and annoys me as i belive it would annoy any reasonble Lotus owner especially as it is used as an insult and not as a compliment (even though the Scooby is a pretty amazing car). Not one of my friends Who are just about all classic car owners felt it necessary to make the Scooby comment, but did comment on how well the blue and gold go.

My Views, My feeling!

Still waiting on some nice (daytime) pictures of those new wheels, though they look pretty good so far. Perhaps not quite as nice as the first 14" and last 15" Speedline styles, but loads better that the "frisbee" mid-life offerings and the Toyota Supra leftovers.

You asked for it!!!
Please be gentle if you do not like them
I still have to stick the black lotus logos to the hubcaps.
I have the impression that my car has shrunk with the new wheels, it looks shorter.

Very, very nice. You are right about it looking shorter, can't think why?? Has the ride height increased at all? Shape of the car looks rounder somehow.

Love them!

The overall effect of the dark centres isn't a million miles away from the factory treatment of Celebration models but yours make the car look more sporting IMHO.

Suspension Snow Setting :D ???......no.
Standard suspension

225 40 16 on the back, are 5 mm smaller in diameter, so that does not help either.
205 45 16 on front should be the same diameter as 215 50 15

I know it would look nicer with a lowered suspension but I would lose comfort and drivebility.
I also think it would have even been better, if wheels would were black, with machined lip, instead of darkgray.
But it did not exist. You can not have it all they say!!!!

Would the Lotus looks shorter due to the dark centers of the wheel?

Very nice, very impressed......love the polished rims
Does look as though you could reduce the ride height slightly to fill the arches slightly more??

I take it your not going to get arrested for spying??

I agree with previous comments, really nice wheels better than other wheels I've seen on here.

Any chance of close-up photo of a wheel?

Cheers
