This one is nice http://www.parkfarm-hotel.co.uk/. I used to live nearby. Friends / relatives enjoyed staying there and I used the gym, bar and restaurant frequently. Very nice staff, good service and a short drive from Hethel.

Folks - could everyone who has booked (or is thinking of booking) tickets for the Hethel party please let me know by adding to this list ? I'm negotiating with Lotus about an Excel stand & Marquee. They want to charge us £300 + VAT for the marquee, but that would get us 10 comp. tickets and 3 cars on site for the day(oldets, newest + my shed for Beaujolais fund raising through raffles of assorted goodies donate by Lotus & others). I'm suggesting that if we have 10 tickets bought, or enough people to top up at the regular ticket price, we could trade-in the tickets against the marquee.
HOWEVER, IF 10 more people want to go, we could use their ticket money to pay for the marquee etc., if I act as co-ordinator.

Me : 2 tickets bought
340R : 1 ticket bought (?)
jimmybondi : 1 ticket bought (?)

crogw11597 : 1 ticket bought
ajj205 : 2 tickets bought

Total : 8

If we have another 2 who've bought or want to go, then I think we can swing the Excel HQ marquee by trading the tickets in for VIP passes.

Still waiting for 2 volunteers to show cars (very early and very late models preferred)

A Celebration at a Celebration ? Sounds very apt to me.

Room for one more - anyone ?

BUMP - still room for one more car.

Anyone else planning on going (booked or not) - please post here.

Those who've already posted - are you willing to trade your tickets for VIP passes so we can get a Marquee inside the compound ?

Thought I had run out of brownie points this year but SWMBO says yes (probably something to do with the boys wanting to come as well - what with Sunday trading I suspect my credit card will pay the price! ) So I have just booked my space.

Angus, if we can get the marquee then I am happy to trade it in (assuming my 2 boys will still be able to get in on the comp ticket), but regret I don't think I can realistically offer up the "oldest" for the stand because of having the boys with me.
